My basement walls were leaking and the water damaged the drywall and insulation. One company claimed that my entire basement needed to be repaired and quoted me a ridiculously high price. True Basement Solutions identified the problem immediately as a broken downspout and lack of drainage pipes, and quoted me a price that was literally one tenth of the other quote. Their honesty and openness were laudable, true to their name. They came promptly as promised and installed new downspouts and underground drain pipes. They also provided a guarantee of the quality of their work. The lead technician was easy to communicate with, and prompt in returning calls. A very polite and pleasant person. One person said to have a landscaping company take care of it (grade it etc). TrueBasement sent out Larry and I was sold. He was very professional and presented me the solution (dug down a few feet, looked for crack--found it and repaired it, also sealed concrete block and added soil/graded correctly)--along with a warranty if I get water in the same place. I began by requesting bids from at least seven different vendors. Larry, the owner, was one of the few who came out personally. During the inspection, he walked me through every step of the process and pointed out several underground issues I didn’t even know existed. He even used his camera to show me the actual problems — at no cost, while other companies wanted to charge just for the camera inspection. When the quotes came in, Larry’s full repair and replacement price was only about $100 more than what other vendors wanted just to run the camera, and one vendor was nearly $1,000 higher for the exact same work. His honesty, transparency, and professionalism stood out immediately. Although the company has a modern website and efficient billing system, I actually scheduled the project over the phone — and the process was just as smooth. As a matter of fact, I’ve already recommended them to a family member and a coworker! The owner, Larry, came out to inspect some cracks in our basement walls and provided a free estimate. Even though he suggested we get a couple more quotes, I was very comfortable with proceeding with TrueBasement based on his findings. Larry explained what the issue was, explained exactly how they would fix it, and the quoted price was very reasonable! Additionally, they called to check on us when the torrential downpours/storms began, prior to having the repairs done. Very thoughtful and very appreciated because for the first time ever, we were actually seeing water coming into the basement! I reached out to these guys and Larry showed up within the hour! He assessed the area, adjusted my sump pump and sent me a fair estimate within a few hours. Larry and his team showed up the next morning and got to work. I had this same area worked on less than 2 months ago and Larry found many mistakes that landed me in this mess.
